My parents are such freaks now a days. I don't even understand it.. My dad won't let me go ANYWHERE without checking up on me and he makes this face as if im going to fool around with some boys. INSANEE. My mom is constantly worrying about health issues and getting cancer and all this crap. It's sickening! Should i put both of them on meds? They are just plain crazy.

thanks for all the input. im 16 btw.

I haven't gone out this whole summer.. last time I went out with my friends was to the beach about 6 weeks ago. I've been on strike my staying inside ever since. But then my mom's all like.. "why dont you go out with your friends.. dont you have any friends?" HOW ANNOYING. If i go out they will just complain on how "i go out" and if don't go out and stay inside the house they complain about that too. My dad does nothing but check up on my constantly and watches too many rape movies.

My parents lacks a lot of trust in their kids.. thinking that they have to do everything on their own and their kids can't do a damn thing.

Ahh, welcome to teenage years (or atleast I think your a teenager). My dad did the same thing for a while. My mom always thought I was going to kill myself or something... I think its normal. Teenagers make parents go crazy.

It sounds to me like you and your parents have no real communication about anything. Set down with them and talk about it calmly and try not to get mad and act bratty show them you deserve to be able to go out or whatever by your actions. I think your dad is just being a dad, but if you have given him no reason not to trust you it is not fair. And what is with the cancer remark, do you mean she wants you to get the shots, or she is worried for herself. Either way it is nothing to take lightly, cancer is a horrible thing, she may just want to protect you. My mom died from breast cancer and watching a person die from any type of cancer is a terrible thing, she died a slow painful death and maybe your mom is just trying to prevent that. it is natural as a mother (I have 2 daughters) to want to prevent any disease for your kids.
Bottom line try talking to them or at least your mom, you should not dismiss what they are saying any more than they should dismiss what you have to say.
I don't know what you are implying about the rape movies, but I hate them, and will not watch them, do you mean he likes seeing it or has he done something to you, if he has please talk to your mom or someone you trust as soon as possible.

You should count your stars that they love you enough to give a crap.

Most parents these days let their kids go and do whatever the hell they want, and those kids grow up into horrible self centered self hating, insecure adults that make up the world that I have to live in.

At least they want to see you become something better, and have morals and standards higher than jenny wide legs that lives up the street.

Stop complaining and grow up some more.

You're "on strike" -- against your friends. You think you're hurting them by staying in the house?? Don't kid yourself.
Anyway, You're mad at your friends and you're transferring these negative feelings onto your parents. Patch up things with your friends and you'll see your whole world improve.

its what parents do. i have a daughter that is 16 and another that is 14. but if your doing what you say you are doing and they check up on you. then they will see that. and after a while ask them why they dont trust you since u are always doing what u say you are doing. soon they will build the trust with you. if not. ask why they dont trust you

hhmmm, i know im gonna get the biggest thumbs down for this but i have the feeling that either you aren't telling the whole story or you cant see why you are doing to make them feel like this!!

try being understanding and closely look at you behaviour and compare it to how you would like your child to behave!, then see if there feelings are unfounded!

Adults have different types of things to worry about than kids do, and one huge thing they worry about is their kids because they LOVE their kids sooooooo much.

i think your parents are just trying to protect you. its frustrating, but just try to spend time with them. you'll move out in a few years and you wont see them too much anymore. they love you and they arent trying to piss you off.
just hang in there.
