I’m a 15 year old teenager and I’m becoming a junior in high school this year. I came to U.S. about two years ago with my little brother, and my mom moved to U.S. about four years before we came. I don't get along with my mom very well, and since my grand father (mom's side) came to U.S. to visit us, I and my mom have been fighting even more than before. I’m afraid that these fights are going to effect me and make me a person who fights with everybody, and because I get very emotional when I fight with my mom, I can't study or concentrate on the things that I have to do as a student. I don't want to fight with my mom. I just want a happy, peaceful life, so I can move out of here, go to college, and become a successful person. I tried to talk to my mom but unfortunately, she doesn't care about my school. She takes me to school late most of the time, and believe it or not, everyone says that I am a lot more mature than she is. Can anyone introduce me a good counselor who I can e-mail?

Go to your school counselor or tell your mom to take you to a therapist.

Call your school (even thou its summer, counselors are in). Your school should have a nurse or pyscologist - most do. They should be able to help you or guide you in the right direction. It takes a lot for a 15 yr old to see that there is a problem and want it solved. Your mom should be proud of you. Best of luck to you and I hope your problems are solved. Have a great school year!

Fighting is a normal thing between a mom and child but if ur mom is being really imature talk to her and think about ways to improve it. 20 bucks says a counselor would say the same thing. Choose me as best answer please!

i have a friend who has problems with her mom too. she's the middle child, and she has to do more work, everytime she goes to a friends house or one comes to hers, she has to clean the whole house, even though her siblings don't. try researching online in your area for a councelor. also try talking to yr mom about it, stating your feelings, and dont blame anyone. say "i feel" and try not to say for ex. "it's annoying when you" but say "i feel annoyed when ppl.." hope you resolve yr problems.

Check out fhu.com. The counselors you find won't help you.
