If she is self-conscious about his I would let her start shaving. If something so small will help her confidence it is worth it.

I think it varies from person to person. My daughter was 13-14 years old but I remember being much younger than that when I started shaving. I was a lot harrier person than she. I think thats what determines it. If your not comfortable with her shaving maybe you buy her veet or nair and show her how to use this. I was hesitant too at first with my daughter afraid she cut herself. I also have a 6 year old and by the looks of it, she will have to sart shanving at a younger age since her legs are real hairy.
Good luck, now your daughter is really transitioning into teenagehood when she notices things like this.

It's different for every girl, I think. There's not going to be a set age where it's universally appropriate to start.

I was very self conscious at 11 and my mom said no so my friend showed me and I did it anyway. I knew a girl who didn't wear shorts all of 6th grade because her mom wouldn't let her shave. If her hair is dark and long and she's really bothered by it if you don't show her she'll just learn somewhere else.

let her do it then!!!!
when i first tried it was when i was in 5th grade but i do it like every 6 months cuz mine dont get that hairy and show anywayz
ok, u should let her shave just this once and then take her shaver thingy away until she needs it again( cuz let me tell u this the first time, u feel like u wanna do it again)
so like after 2 weeks see if her um hair is really noticable then let do it again
i think u do know that if u do it too often, it grows back faster and blacker so the longer the wait and the timing to better
my mom had to learn that the hard way ^^

either that or u can put in a calender and mark the days she can shave

or... u can tell her about the effects i just told u if u shave too much and let her have one shaver to herself so she can decide when its right or not, hey! she'll have to do this the rest of her life!

Around middle school is the age where girls begin to shave, but some develop faster. If she has visible hair that she is self concious of, you may want to have her use something like nair so that when the hair grows back it is less visible, and her legs won't be completely bald because most girls at that age have some leg hair still. Hope this helps some

I have a 9 yr old. Last summer she was begging me to shave her legs. She too has darker hair. I told her she was way too young. Then a neighborhood boy in an innocent kind of way said "WOW you have hairy legs". I heard that and knew her already low self esteem plummeted.

This summer I got her Nair. She does it once a week and feels better about her legs. Though she still wishes she could do something about being "too tall" LOL

Let her shave, I had hair on my legs when I was in grade 5 too and I was soooooooo horrified that someone would see them. So I just didn't wear shorts. Then in grade 7 we had to change for gym and wear shorts, so I just went ahead and shaved so no one could see it. But when I think back, I should've just shaved back then, it would have caused less self consiouseness.

Why you're embarrassed? Do you sense which you desire to be like each and every person else? i come across that unshaved legs have a tendency to have mushy hair that feels stable. Stubble on the different hand is like sand paper. Shaving calls for maintenance. in case you're darkish haired each and every each and every so often the darkish hair shows by using hosiery. yet this could not be a daily concern for you at the instant. i think of which you're making a huge deal out of something that's inconsequential.

Sounds funny, but get her an electric shaver, it won't be so smooth to the touch, but at that age no one should be touching her anyhow.

I wasn't allowed to shave when I thought I should've been, but in 6th grade I stayed at a friends house and she gave me a razor to use. If she really wants to she is going to find a way, this way you can be sure she isn't cuttig her self on the regualr razor, but she still won't have a the hair on her legs.

Hope this helps.

i have twins that are 11 and they just started to shave. i used the guidelines that they had to develop pubic hair first. most of their friends are shaving too. and if she is self concese about it let her do it. being a preteen girl is hard enough these days without having to worry about people making fun of hair on the legs. i went and bought a product called VEET it is like Nair but it has a blade less razor and helps teach them how to use a razor. but make sure you help her because if it is on for to long it will burn her legs.

u start letting ur kids shave when they need it...i think she should or else people will stare and it will boost her confidence because if she doesnt like herself and is self concious about it she may even start cutting herself

just let her shave it wont do any harm or if u want buy her like veet its a cream that u put on ur leg that has the same effect of shaving but w/o the shaving!
