You mean the love of his birth father for him, or the love of his birth parents for him? Or your love for him as your own son?

Paternal love is not just the love of a parent for the child, I have step kids and I don't call the my step kids, they are my sons, period. As for what that love entails, the best example I can think of is kind of corny.
Ever have a dog you love? Dogs love their owners unconditionally, they always want to please them.

As parents, we want to please our children, as they get older, no matter what our kids do, we still love them, they will always have a room to sleep in, a meal to eat. Our hearts may break over what they do with their lives, but we will never stop loving them, always caring about them, worrying about them. A loving parents job as a parent never stops. The most important part of loving a child is that we show them love more than we talk about it. Love is an act of commitment and devotion, not an emotion.

I was adopted as a child when I was 2 yrs. old and before that I was at a foster home. So I never seen my real parents and both my foster mom (from what my adopted parents told me) and my adopted parents took me in as their own and it's like it came natural to them I think you need to just bond with the child and if he is a little older it will take lots of time but bond, spend time with him, spoiling him a little wont hurt and when he gets at the right age like I was you need to tell him the truth about his birth parents if he doesn't know already. Talk to him about them when he wants to and be open and honest! GOOD LUCK! Hope that helps!

we need more information but I am going to take a guess here:
if it is your adopted son, just be a father to him, he will see the difference of having a father or not.
If he is not your son, then use God as an exemple to him: God loves us more than anything, protects us, and will always be there when we need him.
Good luck it shows that you care about this boy

Why do you need to do this? Experience would be the best teacher. Basically, show him and explain as you go.
