Its so annoying !!! everytime i think there is an episode of a show i havent seen it ends up being a repeat !!!!!

certain shows have certain seasons, for example the summer time is the "so you think you can dance" season and the fall time is "the o.c." which is why you find the new episodes of those select t.v. shows showing during that time. So when you see reruns on the t.v. one of the main reasons is because it is not the shows season. However, it could also be because the show is over (Seinfeild). Some channels also purposely rerun the new t.v. episodes so they can get a righer rating/more viewers.

Well this happens every summer, I just wish they would come out with some good shows to take care of that. Why can't they stagger the start of TV shows, so that you would have something new to watch all the time?

I think they have reruns because they don't have nothing to do but wait until they come with a new episode. They are busy when it becomes with that.

I was sold digital tv or freeview and guess what its total crap, its full of the worst channels not even sky wanted.The internet is far more diverse and interesting i probably spend far more hours watching rented movies and surfing the web than I do watching tv.

You mean during the summer? That's because (for the shows that start during the fall) they need time to make a new plotline and shoot new episodes for the next season.

All the good shows are now put onto digital TV so us cheap skites cant get any decent TV nowadays :(

I know, it makes me feel like not bothering to renew my tv license and if I get caught tell them it's Okay because I'm only watching the repeats.

Because it's summer time and your not supposed to be planted in front of the TV !! Go out and do something !!! The new shows will be on when it's to cold to go anywhere!!

reruns are shown during a given time (mostly summer) and new shows begin in the fall, mainly its because they have to have time to film the new ones for us to enjoy.

cos tv is shite nowadays, im even having to watch american tv, thats is the only place making good tv now. whereas england used to be awesome for some good tv, like prime suspect
