Man, I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer to this question. I'm really not sure...herpes is spread by direct contact with mucous membrane, etc. Animals can contract herpes, but do not show signs and symptoms. I wish I had an answer for you.

no, you cannot get herpes from a dog, it is purely a human virus.

Oh please people,
Why all the hype about animal sex, or some unnatural act...
I'm not endorsing beasteality, to me it is a valid question?
Why did you think this person is having sex with their dog?
If the dog licks one in the face and has some bad germs, etc,
I think some type of germs can be transferred.
I felt sorry for this individual who asked the question...
they seemed to be singled out.

plz dont mate with yor dog. dont kiss a dog or anyhtign else with any animal. DOGS MOUTHS ARE NOT CLEANER THAN HUMANS- THATS' A MYTH AND THEY EAT SHEET AND LIKE THEIR OWN @$$
