You've just pretty much listed all the criteria for Major Depression. Chocolate is a natural boost, as is exercise, which releases chemicals in your body that boost mood. If you're worried about not being able to obtain meds without a prescription, St. John's Wort and other natural mood boosters are readily available in stores like CVS over-the-counter.
However, if you're contemplating suicide and self-mutilating, it's probably in your best interest to find a therapist, or at least someone to talk to about it, so you won't feel so alone in knowing about these unpleasant feelings you have.

Look up Borderline Personality Disorder as well as Major Depressive Disorder on the internet. The cutting is not a criteria for Major Depressive Disorder...the rest fits. The cutting is a primary criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder, along with rapidly shifting and intense moods, instable relationships...and other big words I won't get into here.

Hi,
Please, please, reconsider medication. I have been were you are now and believe me, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I look upon my illness (yes, depression is an ilness), as i would should i be suffering from high blood pressure or diabetes. For the above examples I would require medication to help with those illnesses.
Therefore, why not take medication in order to help with my depression? I am a new person and enjoying life as it should be.
Good luck and please do reconsider medication.

Honey I could cheer you up but it would only be a quick fix. You need help before you really hurt yourself. Yes you sound depressed. You need to find out WHY you are depressed. Only counseling
can help you. If you want to help yourself then get involved with something. Volunteer your time at
help other people instead of focusing on just yourself. Sometimes helping others helps you.
Good luck dear.

You are indeed depressed, and self destructive. Yet you don't want to go to the trouble of getting the professional help you obviously are in desparate need of. If you will do nothing to help yourself, how do you expect anyone else to help you? No one can "cheer you up" but yourself, and obviously until you deal with the issues which are driving you to such behaviors, you will fail. If you will not seek professional help....let me recommend a website that may be of some use to you.

good luck to you

first of all you should try to leave your drug addiction habit
i am sorry but may be you are in a state of depression
but don't you worry i have a solution for you
the topmost thing you should try to do is that be confident of yourself
dont ever have a mindset of commiting suicide or something more serious than that
just love yourself and others
your life is also equally important for others
just think one think that you don't have any problem with
your life
AND JUST SEE THE DIFFERENCE!!

Honey you have what to me is called lack of a dream...you need to rediscover who you are and what you loved as a child...it sounds like you have some unresolved issues that you need to heal from...if you go to thesecret.tv and explore the site..go to secret gifts and scroll down to the woman on the grass and play the video saying out loud what it says until you believe it...give yourself a chance here...you CAN change this...find yourself a life of happiness and joy...it is possible and you do deserve it...dont disrespect yourself...change..you can do it...
