That probably means that you have SpyWare. Visit http://www.download.com and get SpyBot Search & Destroy. This will clean up many threats.

If you start it and doesn't start working, you'll have to go to the Windows Task Manager and end the Process. For example, if I start Fire Fox and it doesn't start working, I'll have to open the Task Manager and end the "firefox.exe" process.
I hope that helps.
Also, make sure you regularly Windows Update your computer.

run an antivirus scan. I had this problem before, but i formatted my pc and its okay now. Me too had same problem coming from windows live messenger.
