a) take their word for it and believe your shirt is black
b) defend your white shirt
c) ignore them, they are wasting your time
d) try to convince them their shirt is white too

obviously its a metaphor, so how do you react?

Typically, I ignore them.
My problem is when government and media convince an entire generation of young adults that my shirt is black, and none of them bother to find out if it's true or not.

I was once introduced to a stranger as "Cathleen's husband." The stranger's unthinking response was, "Oh you can't be; she's not married." To that I a quickly responded, "On this question, I am one of the two world's experts." Some extraordinarily ignorant people make some outrageous statements.

As long as that person is not trying to make me change my shirt to a color he likes more, I'd let him live in his own world and ignore him (as far as it concerns the color of shirts).

E) First, I would tell them that it looks white to me. Second, I would ask a second opinion. Third, I would suggest that one (or both) of us see an eye doctor.

it is not unavoidably slutty however the team from What to no longer placed on would supply you a thrashing! constantly weara a beige bra below a white blouse, no longer a white bra opposite to conventional concept. The beige bra would be much less noticable than a white bra. Slutty, no. Clueless, sure.
