Everyone one time or another feels sorry for themselves, and often time we break down during events in our life which have a negative affect on us spiritually or physically.

How many of us can truthfully say that we give thanks to Allah even when sometime bad happens? Because unfortunately, people tend to only thank Allah for the happiness in their life, and don't appreciate him enough when there is something negative happening. Of course we all ask for help.... And Allah loves the believers who come to him for help... but how many of us say.. O Allah, I am content with whatever you will. Please help me in over coming this, and pass all tests in life.

Did you know fellow Muslims that Allah rewards us for everything we go through...
The Prophet (PBUH)said: "No fatigue, illness, anxiety, sorrow, harm or sadness afflicts any Muslim, even to the extent of a thorn pricking him, without Allah wiping out his sins by it." [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]

********Many people do not realize that they are tried just as severely with the good that they are given as they are by the misfortunes that befall them. Allah says: “And as for man, whenever his Lord tries him by honoring him and makes him lead an easy life, he says: ‘My Lord honors me’. But when He tries him by straitening his means of subsistence, he says: ‘My Lord has disgraced me’.” (Sûrah al-Fajr: 15-16)*****

I speak for no religion, but I still feel obliged on behalf of humanity to apologize to you for the mean-spirited insults Muslims receive on this forum. I hope you understand that 95% of Christians are not so mean-spirited.

And, like everyone else, I have a piece of advice. Ignore all of the short answers you receive in the first few minutes that your question is posted. Those people have thought very little about your question. In fact, I dare say that anyone who answered your question in the first four or five minutes did not even to bother to read or digest your fairly long question. They find they get two points and have their "fame" at the top of the answer list by taking a cheap shot.

I respect your faith very much. In fact, I am sponsoring for a year of studies in the US a very religious Muslim engineer from Iraq. He is both a scientist and a religious person, and I respect that combination as well.

You are right, sister, we must thank Allah for every thing happens to us even if we think sometimes that what is happening is bad things, but indeed only Allah can say whether it's good or bad. Hope in Allah must not be lost from a believer, so at bad times, one should go to Allah and ask Him for help.

wow!! well said sister.
Hamdulliah, Allah blessed me with this blessing which is being thankful to Him in eveything happening to me, either good or bad..........for everything is decided by Allah.
For Allah the whole matter before and after : le Allah al amr min kabl wa min baad.
on everything that is unpleasant i say, as my parents Hamdulliah taught me (Allah bless them........Ameen), the verses in the Qura'an which means " and those who are plighted/examined by a plight said, to Allah we are, and to Allah we shall return. those have/get prayers from Allah and those are the righetous people "
sorry if the translation has something wrong.

This is a nice thing but do you know these people on here are going to cream you for your beliefs, why do you open yourself up for such torture. Wouldn't this be better done privately.
