first-- "ban" them from what? next--- any parent who thinks a child will do nothing wrong or out of line obviously forgot what it was to be a young person. come on now, being young is to explore the world and just what boundaries are all about. our job as parents is to be there to guide and direct and point and yes sometimes to be angry but all the time remembering that everything you say and do will teach a child something. what the lesson being taught is is up to the parent. remember mom and dad that young people are like a sponge, they absorb all in their grasp. what they learn while in your care is up to you. think and use common sense and in the end accept that you are just a human and do your best.

Sorry. Since I can't read your mind, I have no idea what you're talking about. What exactly does ban mean in this context? Which sin are your parents upset about? They're banning you for their sin, is that right? Without the necessary details, your question is meaningless.

I ground my kid for not cleaning her room. I teach her that regardless of belief that 'mutual respect' is the only non-negotiable in any relationship in her life (family, teachers, friends and peers)

Yes. I could not imagine a situation that would cause me to ban my children.
