Isn't it the same with religions?

If a 'vehicle' works to get to a destination, whose business is it what vehicle I use. Specifically, if I choose a spiritual path that resonates for me, whose business is it if it isn't the one they feel is right?

Excellent analogy!!! I agree with you. I've always said different paths, same destination.

Yes, it's the same with religions. Many religions insist that their way is the only way to heaven. Very narrow minded.
But then, when I was younger, I frequently did things the way other people told me to do them. Now, though, if someone told me I had to drive to Phoenix in a Ford, I would just laugh at them and drive my Jeep.
Some people have a hard time "growing up" or making decisions for themselves. That's the chink in their armor that organized religion exploits.
I have nothing against organized religion as long as they don't all start insisting I believe as they do.
You can take all of these ramblings with a grain of salt because I have just recently quit a job I loved because my boss was emotionally abusive with me and I am still quite angry about the whole thing.

I think you may need some rest, just a teensy nap. But yes, it is like that with religions I think? I'm reaching here, but is Portland supposed to be heaven and the ford and buick doctrine? maybe I'm the one that needs the nap.......

Not so sure 'bout Buicks; but the Ford vs Chevy debate is as bad as atheists vs theists.

Good analogy.

I like the satellite idea too.

If I call you on the phone my signal will be relayed by the nearest satellite. More than one of them can do the job.

Ok got it. Not the same. All roads lead to God, but only Jesus leads to Heaven. Thats just the way it is. Call me narrow minded but NARROW is the road that leads to Life and broad is the road that leads to death.
