well this is a good question. ive been thinking about this lately, and ive had this thought.....maybe we misinterpret the word worship. it makes sense to me that,if we are part of a whole, we are all one, that would bea very important thing to be aware of throughout our lives. in other words....constantly keep in mind that we are equal, we come from the same place, and we will return to the same point. maybe "worship" means, "remember and strongly acknowlege" our oneness. if we would all do that...wouldnt this world be a better place?hence, this interpretation of worship would ultimately lead to goodness.

It is the very call of human nature to worship God. Man, by his vocation and nature, may well be considered a "religious" being. God does not need our worship: it neither adds nor takes away from his infinite glory. yet, by human nature, we cannot help but worship and praise him - sometimes we do it obviously, and sometimes subconsciously.

Underlying the biblical story is the conviction, so fundamental that it rarely needs to be voiced explicitly, that it is both possible and desirable for humans to address the Divine and that the Divine both can and will respond. God in the Bible is characterized as "you who answer prayer".

To worship God is, to reinforce a persons belief that his belief of life after death is substantiated. and that he does not have to fear death. Or to put another way it is like a person saying "I am not going to really die, because I believe in a god" over and over again.

God does not need worship.
However God deserves worship just because He (or She) is God:
+ The infinite divine being
+ The "One who is"
+ Creator of all that is
+ The author of divine revelation
+ The source of salvation
And, of course, God is love.

because if we are worshiping and believe some one is there watching our deeds, then the person would not indulge in any bad activity, and some thing like that.
