Since the Turks are not Arabs and have adopted themselves to modern living as well as modern thinking this is becoming very common nowadays in the big cities such as İstanbul and İzmir and Ankara .

I would imagine very rare, Turkish families tend to live very close, they are after all mainly Muslim.
Older Generation people would frown upon such a relationship, this mentality is very common all through the Arab world.

Granted they are a little more open minded then before, I still don't think that it would be acceptable. You might be able to find a few families that are fine with it...but in general it is very rare.
