It is fate that led me to this question and my destiny to answer this. Yes they are just superstitions, although Destiny is my favorite stripper at Showgirls.

What is a superstition? - it is based around the thoughts of others, in other words a belief. It is peoples free will to believe anything they wish or not.
Fate and destiny are one of the same, but superstitions don't exist.

NO ... they are not suprestition
They are realities and eternal truths of life. Whether anybody belives or do not believe, it is effecting us than anything else in the universe.
What we have done in this birth or in the previous births will be with us in one form or in another form.
Every action has equal and opposite reaction ... this science formula is much deeply applicable in spiritual sense. It means no one can escape their deeds.
You do good you reap good
Fate and destiny are based on the previous deeds. But that does not mean that what ever happens will happen, when we start doing good and spiritual deeds then naturally the amount of negative burden on our souls gets diluted resulting in best results. (we need not leave away hopes, but with good conscious we need to proceed ahead with our best efforts leaving the result to God)

i don't think it is. Destiny and fate are already writen out for everyone. So it can never be changed because it is set. Its calculated out like an equation of life. A question mark.

--FATE & DESTINY are not supported by the God of the Bible.
--His chief adversary , Satan, has conjured up such a false premises:
(Isaiah 65:11) “. . .But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny. . .”
ISAIAH 65:11 AMPLIFIED BIBLE
11But you who forsake the Lord, who forget and ignore My holy Mount [Zion], who prepare a table for Gad [the Babylonian god of fortune] and who furnish mixed drinks for Meni [the god of destiny]--
--SUCH as you have stated are superstitions that people allow themselves controlled by, as the Israelites left God, and went to the false gods of the nations~
