My husband is in the air force, and has crone's disease, how long will it take for him to get a medical discharge if he gets the ball rolling on the 21st of August?

First of all, He doesn't get to "Start the Ball Rolling". That descision will be made by his Doctors.
If he does not meet AF standards and is not deployable, because of illness, disease or treatment and medication.
In my case, once they decided to board me out for a disease I had had for over ten years, the process took less than 45 days.
It can take longer depending on appeals and consultation with specialists, etc.

Probably 6 months to a year.

i heard that it may take up to 4 years, but it always depends on who you know, if he can pull some strings it will probably be less than 1.

first he must bee Med Boarded. after that, it will depend on how long the paperwork takes. don't expect to be out right away though.
