Is this guy still interested?

This guy I work with whom I'm friends with asked me out, there are some reasons why things might be difficult so I said I don't know.

A few days later he asked me if I was OK because he thought that I might be feeling a bit awkward around him. He said that he did not regret asking me out but did not want to lose me as a friend.

I told him not to be daft, in a nice way, and that I had just been quiet this week.

So what do you think does he just want to be friends or would he still be interested?

I think that he still might be interested in you, because "just to be friends" is a justification to mantain the relationship. Like I see you're not interested in to be more than a friend for him. If so keep not talking to him and he will lose the interest for you.

It depends on what you mean by 'things might be difficult. We can only wonder what those difficulties may be.

For example, are you or he already married? Are you or he in a steady relationship at the moment?

The only person who knows if he is still 'interested' is him.

Firstly I would ask him in what he means by taking you out. Is it as friends or is it on a date?

If neither of you are in any relationships at the moment and he wants to simply take you on a first date or if he wants to take you out as a friend, why not?

Going out together in this situation is no crime provided you feel you want to, accept his invitation.

It may be just a one off or it could lead to a more permanent relationship.

I am sorry I started answering your question with more questions but without knowing the facts it is very difficult giving a proper answer.

He should still be interested, you just scared him because you basically rejected him then you were quiet or ignoring him all week. He is a good guy I can tell. He likes you but doesn't want to date you if it's going to mess up your friend ship. Do you see what I mean? If you want to date him, then tell him to ask you again and say yes, if you don't then tell him you'd rather just stay friends for the time being. I hope I could help! Good luck!

i think he is still interested but he dont wont to show it because he might not want to be to pushy if u no what i mean but at the end of the day if u or him does not change the problem u will spilt up n could lose your relation ship as mates

If he has asked if you are ok I would say he is still interested.You say there are some reasons that could make things difficult.Sit down with him and discuss these reasons and maybe you will find the reasons gone

He's obviously interested and still wants to be friends with you. He doesn't want to lose you and he's thinking of a way to get closer to you so maybe you'll start another relationship

Sounds like a good guy who will take things slow...that's nice of him. Yea, he sounds interested still, but just doesn't want to rush you. He's probably waiting for you to feel ready to be his girlfriend...aww! Hope it goes well. :*)

sounds as though he is still interested but has backed off, he just sounds like he is trying to not wierd you out.......must be a really sweet dude.........work relationships can be difficult, on the other hand i have seen some blossom and be awesome....so who knows.....trust your heart and conscious......
