Just fuss up and say wow I'm sorry I was trashed, If they ask they might not even remember, Relax every drinker goes through this and believe me it won't be as bad as you think....

Everyone knows that when you drink a little too much, you sometimes say things that you don't mean. I'm sure your family understands, but if your that worried about it, just tell them that you didn't mean it. I'm sure everything will be ok.

If it was just that you were trying to say something else but it came out all wrong, try to explain what it was that you were trying to say in your inept, wasted sort of way, tell them you're embarrassed about how it came out, and maybe try not to get toooo wasted with your family next time.

Dunno- most experienced drinkers know that alcohol lowers inhibitions and that a drunk person speaks their true thoughts and feelings. If the people you were drinking with don't know this then you're okay- if they do, better hope they were too drunk to notice or care. On the other hand, some drunks just babble nonsense that everyone knows is plain BS.

First. relies that just because you were drinking does make it an excuse to get away with things. You choose to drink...you choose to say whatever it was you said. take responsibility for your actions...fess up if you were boasting..lying..or whatever...maybe promise your self not to let something like alcohol to transform you into someone you would rather not be.

Unfortunately it is well known that drunks and children tell the truth, maybe cold sober you would not dream of saying whatever it was you said, but drunk, free of your inhibitions, you actually said what was on your mind.

I'm not sure you can back out of this one. There seems to be truth in what drunk people say. They just don't have the inhibition to keep it in at that point.

my guess is they were drinking too, so there is a good chance they wont remember what was said or take it to heart if they do. if needed, a sincere apology is the way to go.
