In a couple years I'll be looking to get a sleeve tattoo (the ones that cover the arm, for anyone who might not know). I have pretty small arms -- 9 inches around on the upper arm and about 18 inches long from shoulder to wrist.

I'm already starting to develop designs so by that time I'll know what I want for sure. Problem is, I want to include a peony (which are large flowers in nature) but I'm worried it'll curve to the back of my arm. I dont want too much detail going on back there, and it also might warp the image. On the other hand if it's too small a lot of people probably will mistake it for a rose. This is pretty much the focal point of my design so it's gotta look perfect.

Question is: are my arms too small for this kind of thing? And what should I do with the peony so it doesn't look funny?

Well I think you should keep the main point of your tattoo large (which is the flower) and the rest of the tat. could be remodified for your size arm..So no I dont think your arm is too small..Good luck on that and I hope my suggestion works for you.

The design can be resized very easily to fit any size of arm. The best person to ask will be the tatto artist as they can look at your arms (where we can't) and will be best able to advise how to proceed, A sleeve tattoo is definitely possible on any size arm.

The thing about tattoos is that they can be resized to fit the size of your arm, and done in a way that looks best on your arm. If your arm is too small -- get the tattoo in a smaller size.

I think that your best bet is to go in and talk to a tattoo artist and have them draw you out something. That way you will know from a professional standpoint if the design you want will work or not. You can go in and talk to them free of charge, so that is definately what I would do...or if you know someone who is a really talented artist, see if they would draw it out for you, or even onto your arm, to give you an exact idea of what it will look like actually on your skin.

your arms are not to small... i know plenty of guys and girls who have small arms and have sleeves... you just wont be able to put alot on to the sleeve .. if you think people wont get the flowers right do the sleeve on a leg instead or make the flower a different size

This is something you should honestly ask your artist. Although, any good artist should be able to modify the tattoo to fit your arm.

the bigger the better. they can make it work for your size arms.. Just show them the picture.. Do you watch Miami tattoo?? What you think looks great might have to be changed to fit better or rearranged..

Have you ever thought of the afters??? Like wearing a wedding gown looking all gorgeous and elegant and there pops out the tattoo? It'll be a little bit of a turn-off...but if people don't mind and u like it then u can just get it done...
