1 and 1/2 cups. Think of it in terms of dollars. If 3/4 cups were .75 (or 3/4 dollar) .75 x 2 is 1.50. Makes it a lot easier to figure.

One cup equals 8 ounces. It sounds to me like you want to bake but you do not have any standard measuring cups. Why don't you take yourself to the store (dollar store, if one nearby) and buy yourself a set of measuring cups. There are measuring cups that come in either plastic or aluminum, usually plastic, that are for measuring dry ingredients. These come in 1 cup, 3/4 cup, 2/3 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, & 1/4 cup sizes, and are nested together. The wet measuring cups usually come in glass so you can see through them to make sure you have an accurate measure. These come in 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup, and 8 cups sizes. The 4 cup (quart size) and 8 cup (half gallon) sizes are used for making and pouring pancake batters, cake batters, etc. You would only need a 1 cup size. I live in Ohio, and at the dollar store I can find nesting measuring cups for around $1.00 a set. In conventional stores plan to pay around $2.00 for a cheap set (which is all you need), and around $3-$4 dollars for a glass measure cup. These are essential for all of your cooking and baking needs. If you do not have a set of measuring spoons, pick these up, too. I make my own breads and I can tell you that you do not need an exact measure for pizza dough, but it is easier to use measuring cups so you don't end up with too much flour which would make your dough too stiff and dry. Because I have made breads for so long (over 34 years), I can just throw some dough together without measuring things out (though I do measure out the liquids), but since you are a novice you need to follow the directions, use measurements, and get used to the feel and texture of bread making. WET WEIGHT 1 gallon = 4 quarts = 8 pints = 16 cups = 128 fluid ounces 1 quart = 2 pints = 4 cups = 32 fluid ounces 1 pint = 2 cups = 16 fluid ounces 1 cup = 8 fluid ounces = 16 tablespoons 1 gill = 1/2 cup = 4 fluid ounces = 8 tablespoons 1 fluid ounce = 2 tablespoons 1 tablespoon = 1/2 fluid ounce = 3 teaspoons To convert ounces to grams, multiply ounces x 28.35 To convert pounds to grams, multiply pounds x 453.59 To convert Fahrenheit degrees (F) to Celsius degrees (C): °C = (°F - 32) x 5/9 1 stick of butter = 8 tablespoons = 4 ounces = 1/4 pound DRY WEIGHT U.S. measurement Metric measurement 1/4 ounce 8 grams 1/2 ounce 15 grams 1 ounce 30 grams 4 ounces 115 grams 8 ounces (1/2 pound) 225 grams 16 ounces (1 pound) 450 grams 32 ounces (2 pounds) 900 grams 40 ounces (2-1/4 pounds) 1 kilogram Hope this helps!

Confusing I know. 1 cup equals 8 fluid ounces (or equivalent normal ounces). So 2 x 3/4 would be 12 ounces. Have fun with your pancakes
