Yes , we are to glorify God with our bodies also. We are to be careful what we put into this temple of Gods. absolutely. Not to smoke, or drink alcohol and eat as healthy as we can, to not take anymore stress than is necessary, and get enough rest. God wants us to have long life to serve Him and bring others to Him also.
BUt, we must be careful that we dont judge in this area also. Some ppl are too thin or too heavy that do eat correctly, and for whatever the reason, they have a difficult metabolism, just just know just because you see someone who has an abnoramal weight doesnt mean they are not tryig to take care of their body. We are to exercise when we can and do it in balance, to be healthy and fit Just being careful what goes in, and taking out what shouldnt be there. This also applies to our mind. If our bodies are a temple of God, then how about the mind, that is surely a part of it. We cant put junk into that either without junk being what we are full of, SIN SIN SIN. Fill our minds with the love of God and think of pure things of God and holy things, beautiful things, not the sinful things of this world, then we will truly be taking care of our bodies as God wants us to.
Great question, as usual.

Yes, I glorify God with my body according to the teachings of the Scriptures. Even though I have never been married, I don't engage in sexual immorality which is what the Bible says is the only sin against the body.
1 Corinthians 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two will become one flesh." 17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
8 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Yes, sin is self-defeating and committed against the entire body of Christ as well. Prior to v19-20, scripture reads:
"Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." -- 1 Corinthians 6:15-18 KJV
We must protect what is precious, that is the house, our body, that carries our souls. We must consecrate the desires of the flesh to sanctify the spirit within. To accomplish this we must dress ourselves in a manner which honors the body, the creation and property of God. Likewise the entire body of Christ is to be honored, for it is the creation and property of God as well:
"And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." -- 1 Corinthians 12:23-27 KJV

i'm going to respond to this one from the Jewish attitude in case you like. Commandments are there to help infuse spirituality with on a regular basis strikes so as to help create a connection with the Divine. Even the main animalistic tendency would properly be reported to a non secular point. intercourse as an occasion isn't condemned, seen shameful, sinful or obscene in Judaism. it incredibly is not greater evil than starvation or thirst and is a actually a commandment to fulfill. we are additionally commanded to drink wine on specific holiday journeys (area of the entire drink and be chuffed bit). There are regulations besides the fact that, noted as chikkum, which we've unquestionably no reason for (eating beef). the thought is that those regulations in basic terms exist so as to instill a feeling of administration interior the guy. whilst one restrains themselves in a particular area, it garnishes a type of potential of will of their outlook. With that pronounced although, you do no longer could stick to the commandments. yet who says you could basically stay a chuffed and pleasurable existence outdoors of the commandments the two? we are all meant to be to blame and to blame for our very own strikes in existence. in case you opt for to bypass forward and do despite: specific, decide for it.

Yes, I am my own.
God gave me this body for only this lifetime. It is mine to do with as I please.
We learn from each lifetime as we strive to educate our souls.
I believe that fundies, like you, are young souls who have not matured enough spiritually to think beyond a very small narrow box. In your next life you will be more open minded.
Just my opinion.

All the cells in my body are alive except the dead ones passing through my digestive track. They will become alive again when my cells incorporate the amino acids into their existing proteins.
