Give notice.

Give a two week notice. My spouse usually tells people that give notice that it is their last day. He's not doing this to be mean and alot appreciate it, they don't really want to work those two weeks anyway. He'll still give them a reference if they were decent employees and understands that people have the right to move up in the world - get better paying jobs.
I know when I've given notice my interest in my job bottoms out. You just put in the time for the 2 weeks. Why have someone at work who really doesn't want to be there.

Always give a notice if you can...even if the employer is an asshole and doesn't deserve it. If you just don't show up one day and leave them in a lurch...then they'll almost certainly take it out on you when another potential employer calls to verify that you worked there. They could really criticize you (without lying about it), and it could keep you from getting a good job you really want.
It's best to just give them a week's notice...and give them a little time to train a replacement. That way you've left with a little class...
Good luck!

Give two weeks notice and I'll tell you why. Companies that are looking to hire you are allowed to ask if you gave notice and if so how long of a notice. (two weeks is standard) The second reason is if they "walk" you out the door, in most cases they have to pay you for the two weeks!

Always give notice. You never know when just walking out will come back to bite you in the future. Two weeks is actually pretty standard unless there's something in your employee manual that says one week is expected.

If you are over exerting your self and causing harm to your body. You need to quit immediately. But do not just not show up, I would call the supervisor and tell them you quit. Also tell them where to mail your last paycheck.

If you can, then give one week notice. But if not, just call them so they know you are not coming back and why. They do deserve to know.

Always give notice. If you don't, it will come back to haunt you.

Whether they are nice or not, has nothing to do with it. The question is, do you have class or not? A classy person remains classy even if the other person is a jerk. Your next employer will want to know.

giving notice always a good idea but maybe you should go to your doctor and have him "recommend" you not be lifting. in turn, your employer may "recommend" younot return to work. if it's hurting your health it's not worth it.
