By clit piercing, you probably mean a clit hood piercing, which is the most common genital piercing. This doesn't hurt as bad as you may think, and many women compare it to the pain of a standard earlobe piercing.
If you mean an actual clitoris piercing, then yes, it does hurt. But most people's anatomies aren't suited for this piercing anyway.

I have had several piercings. My nose didn't hurt that bad. Although I had a high pain tolerance. Believe it or not, my cartilage hurt too much and I had to take it out. I also have a few tattoos (I started to dose off when I got those). The least painful piercing was the nose.

I have mine done, and really it didnt hurt at all, my belly button hurt more, my ears even hurt more and it healed with a day or two. Just make sure to wear a pad on your underwear cause ther will be a little bit of bleeding at first.

I had no pain at all when I got my hood pierced. None afterward either.
Fastest healing piercing I've ever had too.

Yes it should hurt. The Vagina is mucosa, and those nerves are really concentrated there.
