Original Sin seems to be passed on through generations like a genetical disease, and if we don't accept Jesus in our heart along our lives, we'll be doomed. Nevertheless, I keep getting that young kids or babies that die, go straight to Heaven, cause they don't have the ability to grasp the concept of God, Hell, Heaven or whatever.
My question is: Are we born with the Original Sin? If not, at what age do we get it?

Original sin was invented by Augustine of Hippo, and became established doctrine in Roman Catholicism around the 11th century. It is not found in the writings of the early Church, and is foreign to Eastern and Oriental Orthodoxy.

We *are* born with Original Sin. The proof? All people grow old and die, and all women have painful childbirth. The consequences of Original Sin are part of our bodies at birth, without exception.
The "babies go to heaven" group
1) are making unwarranted claims (the bible is unclear in this matter)
2) use a very vague term "the age of accountability" which no one seems to agree on
So, what happens to babies? Who can say? The consequences of Original Sin are with us throughout our lives, from the saintliest and most innocent of us to the most wicked, without exception. Our salvation from *this* sin only comes in the *next* life.
I hope this clears things up.

I don't believe in "original sin." I simply believe that everyone is born with a sinful nature. Children go to heaven because they're not old enough to know the difference.

The doctrine of original sin is not that you pay for the sins of your fathers. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The doctrine of original sin is that sin and death entered the world through one mans disobedience to God. Salvation comes through one mans righteousness. All children go to be with God as they have not reached an age of acountability.

no, we are not born of the original sin...
when the child grows up and becomes mature and responsible for his deeds, then his bad deeds are considered to be sins..
this concept of the original sin was invented by man,not set by god...
it is not justice to be responsible of other sins...
sins are not inherited...
what if a christian baby was baptized then he became a Muslim or Jewish when he grows up..was he still purified from the original sin or not due to the christian belief?

We are born with the effects of original sin, since that initial sin affected the relationship of the entire human race to God. We don't know with certainty what happens to unbaptized babies who die because that fact has not been specifically revealed. The official teaching of God's Church is simply that we "entrust them to the mercy of God". However, what we know of God's nature, especially His infinite love and justice, gives us good reason to trust that such children are saved. This applies both to chldren who die of natural causes, and to the millions of children who have been murdered before they were born.

what I heard is that babies need to be blessed by priests (if you're catholic) so their spirits don't become demons (superstitious old wives tales). they teach you that you are born with oiginal sin that's why babies are baptised as soon as possible. they just get confirmation and communion as they get older.
