Maybe you should vary your routine a little. I get burned out easy if I do the same thing every day, so I just make sure I do 45 to 60 minutes of cardio a day (swimming, biking, speed walking, running, basketball, volleyball, etc.), and several times a week I do some toning and strengthening exercises. I stretch every day after whatever exercises I do. And sometimes I do some yoga or an aerobics video! Gives me lots of variety and I don't get burned out on it.

Mix up the running routine. Also, do biking, swimming, walking, dancing, even work outs on fitness tv.

If you are planning to sometime go back to running I would say cycling. This will help you to not loose the cardio stamina that you have already built up.

I love my eliptical. It is a fast paced high cardio workout. It is also low impact, better for your knees and ankles.
