Have the 3month old puppy have shorter nap so he'd sleep longer at night when everyone's in bed or let him sleep all he wants? If he does he's full of energy later at night.

Yes. Thats fine, but they do need a certain amount of sleep during the day. This need will decrease as he gets older. He should be played with lots and a bit of basic obedience training wears them out too.

Good luck!

Then excersise him more! Go for a long walk in the evening to tucker him out. Works like a charm because you 2 can bond and both of you get excersise! So yes let him nap whenever he wants but encourage play, and in the evening go for a 20-30 minutes walk and I bet your pup will rest much longer through the night. But don't over do. if the pup looks like he is tired then go ahead home early. It's jsut when my shepherd was a pup that's what he had to do.

Excerise him! A lot.

I have a 10 week old puppy but, she when she wants (Which is pretty much all day) and gets up when she wants.

But, we have her on a schedule. We make her go to bed around 10:00 then she'll get up about 7-8:00.

The best thing to do is to exercise him more during the day so he'll be tired at night and sleep. If you keep him up playing and running around during the daytime, he'll sleep really well at night.

a puppy does need alot of rest, but i think it wont harm him if you exercise or play with him more so that at night he is more tired :)
