I would like to take smething to her school for her birthday. Everyone always brings cupcakes. I would like to do something different and possibly healthier than cake or cupcakes. Any Ideas. Mind that this will be a class of 3 & 4 year olds. I have prepared goodie bags with toys and stuff instead of candy. I'm just not sure want I can do instead of a cake/cupcakes.

You can take pizza, I did this and the kids loved it, but talk to the teacher first to make sure no one is allergic to say cheese or something, just make it cheese pizza because the toppings they like or dislike vary to much.
One really health nut parent brought bagels sliced in half with a sweet cream cheese spread on them and lightly sprinkled with those colourful candy sprinkles you put on cookies and cakes, I thought she was crazy but the kids really loved them

at these little parties its not about the eating - my four year old would take 2 or 3 bites and leave the rest - I always told him he could save for later and finishing it was not a big deal. kids love donuts donut holes mini muffins mini ice cream sandwiches and cupcakes after all it is a party not a healthy eating party

what about sub sandwhichs? and have the kids make their own. you need to find out if any of the kids are allergic to anything like nuts or whatever. You dont want to hurt them on accident

Maybe some parfaits? Yogurt is great for kids, as are granola and simple fruits.

You should check with the school before deciding. At my son's school, they can't serve anything homemade...everything has to be store bought.
