Lots and LOTS of ways/ We lived by a strips of woods with a creek running through. I loved nothing more than running down to the woods in bare feet and playing in the water. Also, if you dug down into the creek there was natural earth clay that I would dig up and mold into different things. I loved being outside in the woods!
Another thing I enjoyed as I got a little older and when we moved was going into my large closet and painting pictures and do fun things. I would write in my diary, paint, make forts, play games with my little brother.
I enjoyed all the things I did as a child by myself. it was fun.

WIth my barbies and dolls, playing outside all day in summer especially under the sprinkler. Old sheets were used to make tents and cubby houses. Anything that was in arms reach would make a potential amusement toy!

Mine and my mothers imagination was my best source of amusement, something kids now don't use so much. Everything is thought of for us and for them and its very hard not to give in.

Invented games with my friends. Ran around in the woods, climbing trees & just being a kid! As a kid we did as much stuff outdoors as possible. I remember at 12, my thing then was my rollerskates. I would go anywhere & everywhere possible on them things. Wow, brings back memories. Playing street hockey with the neighborhood kids was another fun thing to do. My how there is so many outdoor things to do in the summer. My favorite one was puddle jumping, when it was safe to do that! It really beat the heat & was a very pleasant treat for me!

well i had a big imagination so me and my friends had a fort in the woods by our house and that was our castle. We always had to protect it from my big brother who wanted it for himself. I don't think kids have that much imagination today. Video games and TV cover every thought and their imagination gets lazy. I see it in my 10 and 7 year old sons. They don't want to go out and play they just want to play video games. Its really sad.
