www.hardingbros.co.uk
very easy to get in, phone interviews, 160pounds a week + commission and they are always desperate for staff.
also its an easy job since mostly the shops dont open while in port (duty free) so you have port days off.
you are staff rather than crew, which is a big plus.
and anyone can sell stuff, i mean the job is really easy.
they are a concession that runs both shops and spas on some 50 ships.
there´s also Starbord, the other shop concession, a lot bigger (90 ships) but the work place sucks... the salary as well.
Contracts are usually for 6 months.

Not possible. Thats only a couple months away and you have to go through training before you can work aboard the ship. It's August now. By the time you got hired (at best) it would be end of September, and then after a month of training--you wouldn't be able to fulfill a contract. Even so, most jobs on a cruiseline require a contract for a certain amount of months to begin with b/c its not worth their time and money. I'd look for something else.

(Though she is right--you can go to each cruiselines website and at the bottom it will say careers/employment. you submit a resume that way)

well my brother worked on a cruise ship in melbourne. I am sure you can google that on www.yahoo.com.au or google.com.au. They have a cruise ships in melbourne. Where are you from? You are probably better off to get a job in a tourism industry even try volunteer work in a tourist place like the zoo or the aquirium or a travel industry. It depends what you want to do and to what length you go to get it.

Go to the websites of cruise lines and look for seasonal positions. It's really not that hard...good luck!

Jobmonkey.com has good advice on resort/cruise jobs and getting hired.
