I know there are 16 lancaster still flying does anyone have details about whether it is possible to get a flight on one?

You didn't say where you are located at but in Hamilton, Ontario there is a group called the Canadian Warplane heritage they "DO" lanc flights but you have to become a member. Contact them for details but looking at their web site it looks VERY steep to be a bomber crew member BUT very reasonable to be a general member.

Last I heard there are only 2 Lancasters flying. A third is being restored to flying condition, but right now, only two.

If you are willing to accept a B-17 ride instead, you can get one at the big air show at Oshkosh Wisconsin. EAA Airventure it's called. runs for a week at the end of july each year. It's not cheap though.

Wish I could help but if you know how many Lancasters are still flying you know allot more than I do about them. Good luck though and have fun.

I only know of 2 lancasters flying: One at RAF Coningsby, with the BBMF, and one in Canada, neither of which offer pleasure flights!
