hi i'm unsure about getting highlights done with a cap at the hairdressers, incase the bleach or hair dye touches my scalp? is a cap safer, or foils?
is there a chance of the dye reaching your scalp, or it causing any reaction?

Highlights can be damaging to your hair, but if you use conditioner daily and towel dry (don't use a hair dryer, the heat is damaging on a daily basis) your hair it shouldn't be a problem. If your hairdresser knows what he/she is doing they won't let the bleach touch your scalp and from personal experience, I've found foils to be safer. Yes there is still a chance of the dye getting on your scalp but your hairdresser will notice it before anything bad happens, don't worry, it can be wiped off your skin with any damp cloth.

If your hairs short then using a cap would be better if your hairs longer your better of getting foils.
They are trained if any did go onto your scalp they would remove it, maybe more chance with foils.
When you go during the consultation explain to them your unsureness and they would answer any questions you have.

It's safe it's it's done right. Brushed on high lights and foil is better then the cap method.

Generally highlights are very safe.
I do it all the time.
As far as a reaction. It is a chance we all take.
