You can sing any song, with the possible exception of "I wanna be a base man". You just have to find the right key. Or try singing the harmony and find someone to harmonize with. That's beautiful. Like jewels on a necklace, all voice types have value. In a barber-shop quartet, isn't it the presence of the alto that makes the bass sound so resonant and deep?

You need to practice chordal vocalises going down...stuff like, 5-4-3-2-1 and 5-3-1 in different keys. If you do not know the key signatures and notes on the piano, have someone teach you. But, vocalises are the best way to extend range in any direction.

Sining just comes naturally. Some songs you can sing and some songs you cant. Its normal. You're a soprano (higher female voice) based on what you said. Voice lessons may help but not as drastically probably as you want them to.
Hope that helps :)
