Ok people, this may sound sexist but believe you me before I was on the road I never agreed with the saying "Women are the worst drivers" as I didnt believe gender had anything to do with how a person thinks.
1) Girl at round about missed 7 chances all other cars was going around her
2) Girl stopped, didnt indicate, I went to overtake and indicated, she almost crashed into me by pulling towards me as I started to overtake (I was originally 3-4 car lengths behind)
3) Girl hit a load of cones not paying attention to the road
4) Girl went into a road with flood rain causing the car to stop and flooded the car
5) Girl races towards me when I had already started going down the road with parked cars down my lane (Didnt stop to give way as your supposed to) she realised how diff it would be and started to skid
Both fem and male comments welcome, im not saying every girl is bad just every worst driver in the world majority would be female head count, maybe due 2 to over precaution

Just added the following
A woman once parked in between 2 bays (Mainly her side but forcing me onto the curb.)
She could barely get into her car and left me a note saying let others get into the car and cursed at me
I was like the cheek she had?
What I am trying to ask is...
1) your views
2) any experiances you have had both bad male drivers and women
3) Could it be due to nerves or undue heasitancy
4) Any statistic websites
I know its unfair to label every women as some women as far better drivers than men, this is why I say if you get every worst driver in the world and then did a head count.

Roundabound man colliding with you...
If he came from the right hand side then it was his right of way. If you was on the roundabout already and he pulled out then he was in the wrong

Thanks you reminded me of another situation where a girl was doing her make up, now there was a bit of traffic but this was approaching a roundabount that lead onto the motorway or the nearvy town. so the lights was changing quickly
As a result I was almost late because she was more concerned at looking at her self in the mirror and doing her make up as to moving forward when she had the oportunity (cars had moved forward infront of her by at least 3-4 car lengths) before she put her make up down

My job is 85% on the road and I totally agree. And then its parking (need I say more)
But saying that there are some very good female drivers.
Women are more heasit then men and that alown is is bad driving. (If you heasit its a red mark if you are making your test).
It also dont help women when they try and drive in unsuitable shoes.

"Woman drivers are the same as male drivers, they just get blamed for it."
There are just rubbish drivers of both sexes that's all. A male driver nearly crashed into me the other day on a roundabout and one nearly pulled stright out into the fast lane of the motorway whilst I was overtaking without indicating or looking where he was going and at 70 miles an hour that wouldn't have been a pretty sight.
Some people just shouldn't be on the road.
PS. I was already on the round about and he nearly drove straight into the side of me, I do know the right of way rules you know!
I also do a lot of rally driving which was lucky because otherwise he would have hit me.

The other day I turned into a one way street only to have two women in a car coming towards me no room to pull over so flashed my headlights and sound horn to tell her she was going wrong way,I was met by a load of abuse and gestures. She refused to reverse or turn around.By this time a line of traffic was behind me including buses wagons etc,About three cars behind the driver got out and approached the women and politely asked them to do as I had indicated she swore at him and gave him the same treatment at which point this mans female companion also approached the women and produced a police warrant card and informed them of a list of offences including obstruction of an emergency vehicle (Ambulance) not on blues but five cars beind me.She arrested them and turned there car into a side street to allow the traffic to go.Don't you just love it when a plan comes together,Don't think she will be driving again soon.In saying that you get idiots of both sexes on the road.PAX.

Before you put down People there's are good and bad drivers those that are aware of what is going on around them at all times and those that are on there mobile phones or talking to there passages and those that are the most important people in the world and expect others to give way to them and this go for both sexes.
I am a HGV driver I drive the 44 tonne class and yes I get see it all in all the classes from cars to trucks and after 34yrs of driving the big trucks I still make mistakes

There are good and bad drivers whatever sex they are.
I have lost count of the number of male idiots who try to overtake me in my 4x4. I think they fall into the category of blonde female going faster than me.
Then there is the brainless woman, like the ones who fill up at the filling station then leave their vehicle bunging up the pumps while they go and pay.
Also the prat who is unable to use an indicator stalk! male and female!
I guess you have just had a run on useless females recently!!
I am female, AND blonde, driven for 22 years and not had a bump/crash/parking ticket/speeding ticket or ever not been able to park or un-park!
Basically I had a great instructor and natural aptitude.
But you are right, some drivers suck!

MALE Drivers are far more dangerous.
I am a pedestrian (I gave up driving due to ill health) and there is no pavement on the vast majority of the road I MUST walk down to catch the road. On several occasions I have come within millimetres of being hit in the face/arms of the wing mirrors of vehicles being driven at speed by MEN - the speed limit on this road is 30, but a lot of people go at well over 40.
When I ask motorists NICELY to move their parked vehicles OFF pavements - it is ALWAYS MEN that are rude/abussive AND violent (I have lost count of the times I been sworn at).

I was driving in my local city and came up to a roundabout, everything normal, stopped for a little green metro. As this metro went past I saw that the driver, a woman, was applying lipstick in her rear view mirror!!! On a busy inner city roundabout.
There is an extremely arrogant woman down my road who drives a jaguar. All the residents have to park on the street and block up one side. This woman, even if its her responsability to give way will drive at full speed towards you and expect you to reverse. I saw this happen with a removal lorry once. The lorry driver had to stop and was just sitting there waiting for her to reverse. She didnt, so he got out walked calmly up to her car and said in a very calm voice -
'I am driving 12 tonnes of lorry, you are driving a silly little jaguar. If you do not reverse by the time I get back to my lorry I will use this 12 tonnes of lorry to physically force you to reverse. I suggest you move, otherwise explain how you didnt give way to the police and your insurance company.'
The look on her face was classic!!! She reversed very quickly.
Not all women are useless though. Its a problem that is not restricted to one sex. It all depends on the confidence and the personality of the individual. Men, as much as women are incompetant and stupid on the road.

Actually, men are worse drivers statistically, but not by much. More men die in car crashes, but more women suffer injuries in accidents. I would rather be injured than die...but that is a personal preference.
I have been teaching defensive driving and traffic survival in AZ for over 5 years, and the majority of my students are male... And I have also done driver's ed, where the women are much easier to teach.
Gotta say that men are worse drivers than women...for now.

I cannot say for sure who are the best or worst drivers, all I know is that Moms are the best drivers overall (especially when they have kids in the car)
I like to call myself a good driver (low insurance rate), no accident in 5 years, no speeding ticket, I had a few close calls though.

I think if we all concentrated on being the best driver we can be and stopped worrying about how bad everybody else is then the roads would be a safer place to be. Clearly some are better than others but are you the best at anything?
