Just remove the bolts first that fitted the axle to the differential carrier. After removing the bolts of the axle, the axle itsef should be pulled out of the differential carrier. The big nut that locked the wheel into the differential hub should be loosen and also removed. The bearing will then show up and its ready for replacement.

pull the inspection cover and rotate the ring gear till you see a small pin or bolt, if it is a pin you need to take a punch and hammer to remove it it is a drift pin or bolt that holds the pinion pin in place. once the pin is removed push the axle inwards to remove the C clips they will fall out and then you pull out the axles.
