You already know many of the answers to your questions, you're just looking fo approval
Do you know that , by far, homosexuals suffer many more diseases and injuries related to their sexual activity?
Do you know, if homosexual marriage was approved, the "surviving spouse" benifits will cause Social Security to go bankrupt within a few years?
You want to discount the Bible, which 86% of Americans claim to follow, yet you offer no alternative plan except what you "want".
I'l stick to the Bible and what God says, thank you. But there are two good reasons for you to consider.
No Bible verses, no tracts..........but.....* adding you to my prayer list*

Where there is a conflict between religious views and human rights then human rights should always take precedence. In a secular country religious views should not be allowed to deprive citizens of equality,
Homosexuality is not really in conflict with the Bible if Christians would read and research their scripture properly and stop using bad modern translations, especially ones that quite wrongly insert the word homosexual.
The Bible would seem to condemn same-sex paedophilia (Leviticus), male rape (Sodom) and sacred Pagan male temple "prostitution" (Romans)...but none of these are features of consenting homosexual relationships. nor would it have been homosexual men engaging in these activities at the time but otherwise heterosexual men who also then commonly kept boy slaves for sex, who visited the local temple to physically unite with the deity via temple "prostitutes", and who after battles anally raped the leaders and the soldiers of conquered armies as a last violent humiliation before despatching them.
In fact consenting homosexual relationships are not mentioned at all anywhere in Bible scripture and although absence does not necessarily indicate approval still there is every reason to believe the Bible Jesus would have fully supported loving committed gay relationships.

Yes I can see, and I sympathize with your frustrations...I am a Christian, so I do believe what the Bible says..However, I have a great deal of love in my heart for homosexuals...It is a moral/ emotional conflict in me personally. I see so many great gay couples who have better relationships then most married hetero couples...however I do believe it is a sin, but so is lying and alcohol and we do not seem to make laws to ban those actions..Personally I just totally stay out of it..I do not get into it, and I do not vote in regards to those matters...I know it may seem luke warm and maybe it is too some.. I just cannot judge based on someones sexual orientation...I know a lot of gay people would be better parents than half the people out there...I do not think anyone Wants to deny your rights...they just feel "morally" obligated to vote against them..To me it is no worse than a hetero couple who live together...that is a sin too..This is a really tough area...for me it is the only thing that is not black and white in my personal walk...
I am sorry for your frustrations..you can be a Christian if you want to...we are not all bad and most of us will love you no matter who you sleep with...there are some great Christian gay people on this site as well..Good Luck to you.

Totally agree. People believe and do weird things in the name of religion. The funniest one to me is "Harry Potter is EVIL". OK yeah right...and so Sponge Bob is a tool of Satan then. ?!?! Homosexuality has been around for thousands of years. It will be around for thousands more, if we don't succeed in blowing ourselves and the planet up over stupid disagreements about religion by then.
Homosexuality was booed in the Bible because the Christians were anti-Roman and Romans practiced homosexuality. As long as the sex is mutually consented to and no one is taking advantage of a minor, then it is none of our business what goes on in the bedroom. Period. End of Story.

Ok, leaving the Bible out of it, homosexuality for much of the population strikes a deep chord of revulsion, as it is against nature.
Sex is for procreation, and homosexual behavior does not produce children. Homosexual behavior (especially for men) requires the use of body parts for the sexual act that were never meant for that purpose.
So, homosexual behavior, if not defying God's commandments against such behavior, defies nature's use for sex.
So this essentially boils down to the wants of the minority against the wants of the majority. As some have expressed here, the voters have spoken, some by their religious convictions, some by their abhorrance of homosexuality.
You have many rights, but the right to be gay isn't written in any of our laws, so how are we denying you any rights? What you do behind a closed door is your business. But when you try to force it upon people, that's where the voters express their opinions by the voting process.

As a believer, I feel that you are going to live the way you are going to live, nobody can change that, just like I would not want anyone nor could anyone change what I believe.
Before I became a Christian I used to hate homosexuals but since then God has taught me that a true believer is not to hate his/her fellow man.
As far as the law of the land goes, Like it or not we are a Country based on Christian beliefs, that's our foundation. I see that the homosexual community has made alot of strides in the areas of certain legislation and for sure still has a way to go, nothing good comes easy.

You can seperate church and state all you want, but its on the basis of what you'll get sued for.. church in school for one..... Its just not so uncommon that when subjects of "I want to marry a man to a man".. people scream that the country was found apon christain ordeals. Yet when someone says "the christains did this and that!" ... its more common to hear "theres a seperation between church and state".

I agree with you wholeheartedly, unfortunately, this doesn't violate the separation of church and state. People are voting on these issues because that is their opinion, it makes no difference what their reason is for it. I do think it none of their damn business what homosexuals do with their lives, but there is little us reasonable people we can do except hope to change their minds.

You are absolutely right.
Sadly the Christian church seems bent on dictating to the world. It talks politics and hatred (that is human and nothing to do with God, Jesus or the Bible).
The modern Christian sees it as far more important to dominate and force their views on others than to follow good Christian tenets!
But there are good Christians out there who believe in a loving, inclusive and forgiving God.

Well I am one of GOD'S creatures. As it is written, " My people are destroyed by a lack of KNOWLEDGE.
He loves you, not what you do.
Your question is misleading, you wrote:
Another Homosexuality Vs BIBLE question? Yet in number 2. You like the democrats, deny Christian's a voice. The FIRST AMENDMENT IS TO THE CHRISTIAN'S and then to the media....
Separation of church and state, is for the Christian's benefit, so that the Government is PROHIBITED from forcing us to be silenced and from FORCING us out of ANY PUBLIC PLACE, so that WE MAY PREACH, TEACH AND WORSHIP ANY WHERE WE CHOOSE.
Was this to pull Christian's into this, or to find confirmation to your own beliefs?
