I do not believe in 'age does not matter' .
It does.
And an elder person is matured, will settle down with work earlier and all. And while 'in love' everything is rosy. You see nothing wrong in anything.
Older in the long run has more differences. Like music, movies , outlook to life....
And for a teenager, +12 is a big leap. If he is a safe person, fine. Take care.
But I have noticed a smaller gap, say 3-5 years older work best.
Men mature later, anyway. Or remain 'boys' all their lives, so older is better somehow.so it is better a bit older.
But younger is OK. Not great. Even same age. Takes longer to settle down. Immature at most times.

I used to say I prefer 2 years older. That was before I got married. Now days (and for the past 11 years) I say 1 year younger. Yes my wife is 1 yr younger. Wouldn't change it for any thing.

I prefer to date older men simply because of the maturity level. Not saying that all younger guys are immature it's just they approach me differently than an older guy. I get more respect and appreciation from someone older.

Girls should date someone that is 1 or 2 years older because guys like to be the 'leader' or head of the relationship and if the gal is older then he doesn't feel like the 'man' of the relationship, but if he really loves you he accept that you are his 'queen' and he would like to rule the relationship equally with you...

actually if its just a year older or younger, it wouldn't be a problem...if the age gap was wider like 10 years or more, then it might be...it will be a little hard to find things that you like in common when the gap is that wide...however, if both are mature enough and they have found common ground, then age should not really be a problem

Age doesn't matter if you like the other person.A year or two older or younger doesn't matter in dating or marrying as long as you have strong feelings for them.
