The Australians make this beer and as far as I know that is the only place to buy it. How can I as an American get some without going to Oz?

Victoria Bitter currently has limited distribution through ships stores on the east and west coasts (which do not sell directly to the public). Foster's Lager; the international flagship brand of Foster's Australia and available in over 140 countries is available throughout North and South America. It is brewed under license in Canada by Molson Breweries and distributed throughout the US by Miller Brewing. Due to the laws of the Food & Drug Administration and US Customs it is extremely difficult to arrange personal shipments. Product requires additional labeling including the Surgeon General's Warning, in some states a license is required to receive alcohol and import tariffs are charged at a Federal & State levels which along with shipping costs makes the consignment very expensive. For these reasons we do not arrange personal deliveries and can only advise that it is a very difficult exercise.

As the late Frank Hardy said, there is no such thing as a bad beer although some are better than others. I tend to agree with him but I draw the line at Fosters. Fourex is a respectable beer, on a par with other ordinary Australian beers like VB but not in the same league as Cascade, Boags or Coopers which are the best commercial beers in the country.

I understand that it is available in the USA but you won't find it everywhere.

DON'T BOTHER MATE!,you'd be better off drinking Camel p!$$,if you are going to drink Aussie beer then get hold of some Victoria Bitter (V.B) most sold and best beer in Aussie, some other good drops are Carlton draught, cascade, boges and Melbourne bitter.

some of the worst in my opinion are xxxx, swan lager, coopers and the king of $h!t beer in Australia-TOOHEY'S.

but as for your question on where you can get your hands on some I'm sorry i have no idea other than a big liquor store,in Australia the bottle shops tend to sell beer from all over the world,i don't know how it is over there-good luck.

A simmilar question was up here asking about VB beer... and the best question on that was never... The only Aussie beer that will be sold it America will be Fosters which taste all camels piss... It would just cost to must to transport it...

So the best thing you can do is come get a coldy for a local pub in Queenland...

I bought some in Vegas once, so it is there. What part of the U.S. are you in??? I would consult one of your bigger liquor stores over there, the ones with more imports. A good store operator should be able to source it for you.

Enjoy.

Big bottle shops in USA may have it in the imported drinks section

Have a look at their website or email them and ask.
I'm sure they'll tell you where you can get some.

Email from the website would be the best idea.
