People often mistake God to be loving and kind all the time. He isn't. Read the Bible and you will soon see that he's angry, jealous, and sometimes kills to bring forth his own purposes.

People take what they want from religious texts. Or they believe what others tell them the religious texts say. How many of you have heard, "spare the rod spoil the child"? And how many people have actually read that verse in the Bible? It is funny how people can interpret things completely different. If you open the bible and read it with preconceived notions of what to believe, then mostly likely you will find enough in there to defend your notions of whether God is vengeful or if he is benevolent.

Instead of living by words, why not live by action? I know too many "Christians" that are not good people to put much stock in that word. People should be judged by their actions and how they live. Not by what they say or what they profess to believe. So does it really matter what docterine they follow?

i do no longer think of a assassin would properly be forgiven, i think of they'll could take punishment for their very own sins and nonetheless no longer gain the optimum that they'd have in the previous they did it. the subject is they can't make restitution and replace the existence they took. "No assassin hath eternal existence abiding in him." (a million John 3:15.) homicide, the unlawful killing of a individual with malice aforethought or below such situations of unlawful activity that the malice is presumed, "is a sin unto dying" (a million John 5:sixteen-17) as an occasion, the Jews on whose palms the blood of Christ replaced into discovered weren't invited to repent and be baptized. (Acts 3:19-21.) (via the way I even have great admire for the Jews and the Jewish faith, yet no longer for murderers of any faith/non-faith.) Murderers are forgiven ultimately yet basically interior the experience that each and every physique sins are forgiven different than the sin against the Holy Ghost; they do no longer look to be forgiven interior the experience that celestial salvation is made attainable to them. (Matt. 12:31-32.) whilst they have paid the finished penalty for their crime, they shall bypass directly to a telestial inheritance. (Rev. 22:15.)

Just curious, but what subject is it that you're specifically speaking about. And no, I'm not a religious person, even if I do believe in God. Just don't believe in religion.

Sorry, still don't understand the question you're trying to ask, so no worries. But why bother with what others believe? The only beliefs that really matter in your life are yours. Live by your own code and let others do the same. If they try to spout nonsense to you, ignore the fools and pity the hypocrites, but don't let them get to you. Life is hard enough without dealing with busy bodies. Live and let live.

Heck yes I am ok with it...just for fun sometimes I join in and knock off one or two people...Do you read what you just posted..we are ok with killing..one of our ten commandments is though shalt not kill...

Seriously..God doesn't kill people...people kill people, tragedies kill people..wars, disease, famine...If none of these things existed tomorrow and the world was magically perfect..no one starving, no one at war, no disease..would you believe then?? Probably not....Plus seriously as callous as this sounds...it is population control, if we didn't have disease and wars and things, our world would be even more grossly over populated than it currently is....Plus it is not from God..It is a direct result of Free will which he gave to Adam and Eve...which resulted in Sin....I know you probably don't believe it but that is what it is from. Lets not also forget that death is a part of life..it is inevitable we are all going to go someday...Just as many Christians die of diseases and accidents as non-Christians.

Obviously we as Christians care...who do you think spends their time and money in foreign countries trying to help the sick, and dying ???

I do not believe God kills people, answers prayers, judges souls to decide between Door Number One or Door Number Two, or cares a hill of beans what people do. God didn't "create" the universe - God IS the universe.

i'm not too religious, at least not anymore. but when i was, and when i was questioning it, i learned enough about it to explain a question like this (through a christian point of view, so it sounds like a made-up excuse).
God doesn't kill. humans kill. we kill because God gave us free will. the fact that God doesn't stop killing is because of free will. if he stopped killing and all the other terrible stuff that happens on our planet, he would technically be denying us the freedom to whatever belief we want to follow. Killing is a sin in christianity, and some humans choose to do it, and that's their choice to go against the christian god. so don't blame the god, just blame the people that kill.

"Do this, in memory of me."

That is all I know about my religion.
Death comes to us all, and He shares in it.
I do not know why. Many people have been trying to figure out a reason for death since the beginning of time.

Find what is noble in your heart and take it like a 75 yard pass. Run with it down the field of life and hope to score that touchdown, dodging every linebacker you can. You've got more than 3 downs in this game.

1) I know you don't understand, you asked the question.
2) God is not an equal to us.
3) God owns you and everybody else.
4) Yes I'm okay with everything He does, but you don't have to be.
5) God does not need anything, including the approval of those that do not trust Him.

I think the more modern image of God is that germs or sin or Satan cause the bad in the world, and free will is why we have the sin. God just watches, mostly, & waits for people to return to a loving viewpoint.
