Yes and yes. He also specializes in helping those who cannot help themselves. Peace.

I think that God can help anyone, for His purposes.

What a Christian has is peace with God. That helps a lot. Because then we are able to claim His promises. He fulfills all His promises. He is trustworthy.

That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6
He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. Luke 1:52
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. Jas 4:10
I have seen this happening in my life.

Benjamin Franklin wrote that in Poor Richard's Almanac about 300 years ago.
It is NOT from the Bible.
God is there to help those who
CANNOT help themselves! If we can
help ourselves, we don't need God!

From a religious perspective, I think it can be said that God/Allah created people with the brains and bodies to accomplish amazing things. We can come up with ideas like airplanes and helicopters, and heart shunts and heart bypasses, etc, and we can find ways to accomplish so many things. Whether you believe in God, or whether you believe that we are the result of evolution and nothing more, you probably agree that we are capable of amazing thoughts and amazing actions.

Anyone who sits on their butt and prays and expects an invisible force to come help them isn't thinking clearly. They have inteligence, self awareness and physical capability. They should use those things to deal with whatever situations arise!

A quote from a religious perspective to support my comments:

God helps those who help themselves.

That was just an old saying. It's not in the Bible. God helps those who pray in faith, asking in the name of Jesus.

"God helps those who help themselves" is like the diet pill commercial that says you'll lose weight if you take their pill, but then you read the small print and it says, "If you follow a daily regimen of diet and exercise." In other words, you're on your own.

I think you should pray for guidance, and he might guide you to college, or to a job-but you have to do the work of learning, or doing the job correctly so they don't fire you. He's not going to give you a free ride. Life isn't easy.
But yes, He will help whoever needs it.
