"God has commanded humanity to avoid evil; he has forbidden immorality, rebellion, cruelty, aggressiveness, murder and bloodshed. Those who do not obey this command of God are walking in the steps of Satan, as it says in the verse above, and have adopted an attitude that God has clearly declared unlawful. Of the many verses that bear on this subject, here are only two:

But as for those who break God's contract after it has been agreed and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the earth, the curse will be upon them. They will have the Evil Abode. (Surat ar-Ra'd: 25)

Seek the abode of the hereafter with what God has given you, without forgetting your portion of the world. And do good as God has been good to you. And do not seek to cause mischief on earth. God does not love mischief makers.' (Surat al-Qasas: 77)

As we can see, God has forbidden every kind of mischievous acts in the religion of Islam including terrorism and violence, and condemned those who commit such deeds. A Muslim lends beauty to the world and improves it."

Allah has surely commanded that this is wrong as it is so clearly stated in the Holy Qu'ran. Extremist unfortunately populate every religion on this earth. Islam, Judaism, Christianity, and others are all corrupted by it's vile presence and surely, it is Satan who is causing the faithful to turn away from the true path. You have asked an excellent question and made some good points using excellent verse from the Holy Qu'ran. May Allah's blessings rain down upon you.

I think extremists of any religion make life difficult for everyone. There is much grief caused in the world by those that twist words in religious texts around to suit their own purpose. Or they inaccurately interpret the text to suit themselves. They use religion as tool instead of as a way to live in peace and harmony. All religious texts tell us to live in peace with our neighbors. Why can't we do that? Because extremists have their own agenda, and it doesn't involve religion. It involves power.

the problem is in the interpretation by the priests, minister and holy men of the holy books. most of those guys have personal problems themselves and then inflict them on others. its a matter of power, the power to influence someone to go and blow themselves and others up in the name of God.
that goes for all religions, look at the violence in northern Ireland.

Extremism of religion is the practice of evil, endangering human lives as what happen in Afghanistan.Muslim said they are valuing beauty to nature but killing & suicide bombing that's adding surmountable agony to nature & people alike which is just plain extremist in the sense interpreting the bible is on the dark ages of civilization.They don't want progress still living in the medieval time of torture, etc, etc,
