Yes, I AM being sarcastic... Isn't it pathetic how this country's goverment only ever learns through catastrophic mistakes?

No, sadly, I don't think they have learnt, policing of this ban is bound to be lax (they do not have the resources) and so those who care only for their wallets will break the ban and move their beasts, thus spreading the disease elsewhere. Governments cannot be trusted to handle problems of catastrophic proportions, they are only human even if they try to pretend that they are above us and really what matters most in those cases is money -look at the root of any catastrophe and you will find that it is money.

Newsflash: That's the only way any government and most people ever learn anything. Even then the memory only lasts a generation or so.
