Hell being a place or fire and brimstone is flawed in its logic. When we pass from this life into the next we do so as spirit, We no longer have a body of flesh and therefore cannot feel physical pain ! at all . !
fire would would simply pass through with no ills . beating floggings et cetera would be pointless for we would not feel them in any way.
Hell is therefore spitirual pain which can only be pain of the mind /consciousness. it can therefore be every bit as painfull but only in affairs of the heart so to speak .
the reverse would therefor also be true for heaven.
and because reality is personal perception
your pain or pleasure is up to the individual to find.
what say you ?

i think you are pretty much on the mark with your assessment, although both of these are states of mind for the living embodiment also....basically where your attitude and emotion are concerned determines your perception of weather living feels like heaven or hell....recently i have not embraced my emotional body and i think and manifest much clearer and quicker and i find my every thought is becoming real weather it be desireable or undesirable and my attitude determines what impact it has on me...it feels like i am in heaven right now

Interesting, but I believe that it is meaningless to speak of a soul outside of material existence. If you lose an eye, seeing is no longer a part of your consciousness. Likewise for every other sense. If you lose certain neurons, you lose memories and awarness of parts of your body...etc. You get the idea. Why would you not be able to lose it all, then? If a soul truly did exist outside of material reality, how could it influence our daily lives? It obviously could not cause a change in matter as matter is supposedly separate from the soul. We would be helpless observers and could be held responsible for nothing we have done.

There is a bodily resurrection. Jesus was raised physically from the dead. He wasn't just a disembodied spirit.

The Bible says we should fear him who is able to cast both body and soul into hell.

The Bible says there will be weeping. Spirits don't weep. It says there will be gnashing of teeth. Spirits don't have teeth.

Hell is a place of physical torment.

I am thrilled to now know that someone, you, has made the cross over from this dimension of life into the next and returned to enlighten all of us. Logic and spiritually do not go hand in hand. Faith is the foundation of ones' religion and hope is the foundation of ones' spirituality. Wake up from that dream you are living in and take a shot at faith and hope.
Logic is for those who already have faith and hope that they will pass from this life into the next.

I believe it is quite possible that heaven and hell, if they exist at all, are really the same place, and the difference is in one's perception of it. If you are afraid of the Wrath of God, the bright light will burn and hurt your "eyes" (mentally/psychically, not physically), make you turn away in horror and fear. If you are assuming God loves you, that same bright light will be welcoming, warming, wonderful.

Personally, I think both are interpretations of falling into the sun.

I beg to differ: I take it you have a different version of the Bible , or you have not through the whole book.

Jehovahs Witnesses also believe what you said. & probably some others, theirs a lot of opinions out there, but only one source, go to the source! don't guess at it or take any ones opinion of it,,that includes your own, i speak this to myself as well as to you..

i was mislead for 24 years, now i know the Truth. "the Truth shall set you free" & when Christ sets you free, then are you free indeed...........READ,,i can't stress hard enough & I beg you READ....

Religion is fake. many people criticize me for saying this. Hell is just used by the church to keep people devout, so they make more money. That's why those who don't believe go to Hell.

I don't pretend to understand all of themysteries of God, but I think it is possible for us to have sensations in a spiritual body that are just as real as the sensations we have now. God Bless You

they way i hear it your mind is the reason why you feel pain or get sick. so if you have a mind in hell then why couldnt your spirit feel it? i cant really answer your question, but sense the "imaginary" God said it i believe it.
