I don't think it means anything. It's just a filler. Geez, I thought my husband was the only one who listened to that kind of music....LOL!

Is that Great Big Cee or someone else?

They are what are known as "nonsense syllables." They are used in a lot of folk songs, Celtic and otherwise, to help create rhymes and to keep the rythm going. However, they don't mean anything by themselves.

It's just a chorus--like "Deck the hall with boughs of holly, fa la la la la la la la la." (I'm not sure that I have the right number of la's, but you get the idea!)
