So a lady had killed 4 fetuses...basically doing a "self abortion"...but she is being charged with murder....

A guy kills his wife/girlfriend and her unborn child and he is charged with double homocide....

A doctor stabs a babies head, called partial-birth abortion...and it's legal....

How is that fair and/or human?

No....4 of her unborn children....she didn't throw them out or bury them after removing them....they were all "single" fetuses...

A very sensitive subject!

Bring it on :-)

Abortion is murder. Except if necessary to save the mother's life.

Plain and simple.

In your examples, it's not fair -- they should all suffer the consequences for murder.

The sanctity of human life is ABSOLUTE. When an abortion is performed, it is certain that it's not a dog fetus or an elephant fetus or a dolphin fetus . . . it's a HUMAN fetus.

I'm so sick of the "it's my body -- my responsibility" argument. First of all, it IS your body -- it IS your responsibility . . . when YOU engaged in sex. Or don't you subscribe to free will? Jeesh!

Abortion is most often performed for the convenience of the mother. She simply doesn't want the baby. THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO ABORT A HUMAN FETUS.

And if that mother is a Christian? What the hell? The fact is: in the U.S. most abortions are performed on Christian mothers. People will rationalize ANYTHING. That's why all Christians are SELECTIVE Christians. They pick and choose what they want to believe and follow. Hypocrites, one and all. It makes me sick how cavalier people can be about snuffing out the spark of a human life.

Criminy!

This is wrong on so many levels...

I do not see any reason why a woman in need of an abortion should be prosectued. Obviously she was desperate and couldn't get help... why should she be punished?

I don't think he should be charged with double homicide, either. It's not been born yet, so it has no legal rights.

Partial-birth abortion, however, should not be legal... if it is already half-way out, why not just let the rest of it be born and then give it up for adoption. Half out is as good as all out, you've already done all the work of carrying it to term and going through labor.

The way I see it, legal rights are granted once you exit the birth canal. Before it, you are totally your mom, and after it you are totally yourself.

It is not fair or human.

um, an intact d&x is no longer legal. where have you been? and double homicide only applies if the fetus was viable at time of death. as for the woman who had the diy abortions. she's not charged with murder, but with holding bio-hazardous materials.

can you give me a link to news paper artical telling me about this woman who self aborted four fetus's and is being charged with murder? cause last i heard thats not a crime in the usa. is it fair? no but life isnt fair. is it human yes it is. and it beats the hell out of leaveing an unwanted infant in a trash heap a time honered ( they have found infant skelitons in greek, roman, and egyption trash heeps) tradition for getting rid of a baby. abortion isnt a choise i would make but its an option and anyone MAN, who doesnt even have a womb who trys to tell me its wrong will get put in his place. men have no say, they have no right to a say, they have no place in the desision. unless the woman gives him one

It isn't and since abortion is legal I believe the first woman should have no charges. The guy was charged the way he was because of the intent I believe. No one ever said that the judicial system was perfect.

4 fetuses? From other women, I'm assuming. Unless she had quintuplets.

A guy kills a woman and her fetus... Was that the woman's choice? No. Is abortion the woman's choice? Yes.

As for partial birth abortion: Well, the fetus isn't alive. Okay?

Guy above me: Its illegal to collect or destroy sea turtle eggs because they are endangered. And unlike abortion, the turtle cant choose whether her eggs die or not. Sorry, bad analogy.
