Please, save the bogus "there is no God" stuff for another debate - I'm seriously interested in what those who believe in God have to say. Thanks guys!

Thanks so much for the good answers, guys. I did something stupid, knowing it was wrong and feel incredibly bad. I am asking forgiveness and am turning away from it, just wanted to make sure I wasn't a lost cause b/c someone at a church I used to go to said if you do it - knowing it's wrong - you're doomed. I know God is better than that and I truly appreciate your heart-felt answers.

If we sin knowing it's wrong - does God still forgive us?
It all depends. If you sin knowing it is wrong and you are sorry and you repent of it then the answer is yes.
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
But if you live a lifestyle that is characterized by sin and you know that it is wrong....
Hebrews 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

If one is truly sincere in confessing it to Him. Yes, God keeps forgiving, but if a person keeps deliberately and willfully sinning, there is room to doubt whether they were really redeemed in the first place. However, we cannot say that about any particular person with any degree of certainty. If one is truly redeemed and they continue in sin, they will be disciplined. The relationship will still be there, but not the fellowship. We cannot always see what God is doing in the lives of others. He might be chastening them, and we might not see that part, so we cannot automatically conclude that everyone with such an attitude is not a Christian, since we may not see the entire story.
There is a caution here. Paul said that we are not to sin so that grace may abound. He was asked essentially the same question, if it was okay to sin, since we are going to get forgiven for it anyway. His answer was the emphatic no, "God forbid!"

You can't do anything bad enough to not be forgiven by God. Please don't tell me that gives me a license to do anything and you're worried. Atheist are proof that we don't need a knife at our throat to do what's reasonable and what's right according to the situation. I've sinned many times knowing full well what I did. I'll do it again and I'm still a child of God.
All you have to do is think a thing and you've sinned. There's no escape from it while bound to flesh. If forgiveness was conditional then not one would find salvation.

Yes.
If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You need to read the Holy Bible for yourself. The answers are all in there. I suggest you get a New Living Translation, which is written in plain modern English and read for yourself, don't take the word of anyone else.

Yes, God forgives all the sins we give to Him. The part of the forgiveness is that we need to repent. : )

I really think that depends upon the person..and the reason.
Aren't you glad that God is the judge? He is so kind and fair to us and he knows our hearts.
I know of a little girl who was made to lie and steal by her neurotic mentally unstable mother. She knew it was wrong, but she was forced..God knows that too.
