Yes. The New Testament does have many references to the Old...Christ quoted from Isaiah the most I believe...
Furthermore, Jesus said, "If you love ME, keep My Commandments." Isn't Jesus God? His Commandments were not changed or reduced. You can certainly find the facts that when Jesus said to love God with your entire being, and to love your neighbor as yourself, it was a summary of the Ten Commandments He wrote with His finger in stone on Mt. Sinai. It was explained that way by Moses as well in the Old Testament.

By the time Revelation 14 rolls around, the Church (saints) will have been in heaven for 10 chapters. No mention of the Church is made from Chapter 4 until Chapter 19, when we return with Jesus at His Second Coming.
Jesus reduced the 10 Commandments to 2:
Matthew 22:36
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Golden Rule:
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

I think so... The righteousness of God in the old testament times was based on the Law. The righteousness of God on the new testament (covenant) is based on the faith of Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1). But the salvation of God's people on the Old testament times was still due to the sacrifice of Christ (Rom. 3:25 Christ's blood was the propitiation for the remission of sins which are PAST). The cleansings, offerings made by Israel at that time were shadows or pictures of Christ's sacrifice (death).

No it doesn't. Thinking that it does is called the interpretive error of collapsing contexts. If you want to find a verse in the NT that refers to keeping God's commandments then you have to find one that was written with that intent by the author, like this passage here.
Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Paul and the writings contemporary in Acts make it somewhat undeniable that the gentile converts to Christianity weren't required to come back below the old covenant so as to alter right into a Christian. You mean that God's human beings would be conserving the old covenant. something incorrect with the recent covenant? you do no longer basically like the greater useful covenant with greater useful can provide? you decide on the no longer surprisingly much as good because of the fact the stronger? so a techniques as who has the authority, God, who expresses His authority interior the writings of people who have been stimulated via Him to write down the N.T. Scriptures. for this reason, who's ignoring this authority that makes it sparkling to everybody who reads issues in context that Christians have been by no ability a party to that old covenant, and the old covenant ended? .

child, the whole Bible is linked together. Of coarse we are to follow the 10 commandments. Where in the Bible does GOD say to disregard them? The best thing to do when it comes to GOD is to keep on doing the things HE has already told you to do until HE tells you different.
The New Testament without the Old Testament should be refereed to as the "amputated Bible"!!!

Jesus said all the law hangs on the first 2 commandments. Follow them and you're covered, along with every day should be holy unto God as we live with him in us, that covers the Sabbath questions.

When the rich young man asked Jesus what he must do to be saved, the first thing Jesus told him was "keep the commandments".

If you read the whole bible, you will find that the 10 commandments were given to us, to show us that we are not capable of keeping them.
So keep reading, you will find the answers.
