Mary was simply used to bring forth Jesus birth, It could have been any woman who was serving God at the time. She was only noted as one of Gods people and did not hold any special possition among the people of her day either before or after Jesus was born. To show that she should not be venerated in any way, Jesus at the time he was hanging on the stake and being
tourchered said to her at John 19:25, said,
"Women, see your son"? Next he said to the desciple: See YOUR mother. So that making sure she would be taken care of, the desciple took her into thier home.

In making the statement women and not mother was making sure that the desciples would not make Mary up to be something speacial in the eyes of his followers.

Only the false religions around began to raise Mary up in order to gain more people into thier organizations and it still works today along with veneration of the cross, rosery beads, golden cups, candles, stained glass windows, steeples, bells, priest wearing special clothing, incents, so called holy water, the pope and the list goes on and on.

Sincerely yours,
Fred M. Hunter

Any fellow Christian praying for you "helps". Don't you ever ask other christians to pray for you? And don't you pray for those you care about? Why would you do that if intercession on the part of other Christians doesn't "help"?? And please don't tell me "Mary is dead". There is no such thing as a dead Christian. Jesus said those who follow Him "will never die". I believe Him.

Mary is dead. How can she possibly help anyone? She is not divine. She is just human. Only Jesus can help. He is divine. I never understood why people pray to Mary.
