i have a tattoo there and it does hurt! any tattoo hurts and some places hurt more than others. but one thing is for sure... there will always be pain!
however, tattoos (if well thought out and loved) are great things! after the initial pain, and some discomfort during the healing process, you will have something that you (hopefully) love on you forever!

I have had both. I have a tattoo in the middle of my lower back. I have had it for 8 years and I still love it. I had my tongue pierced for 5 years and my belly pierced as well(which I hated). I would go with the tattoo, although I would go with a smaller version of your drawing. If its too big its going to look horrible on the back of your neck. You also are going to want it to be hidden sometimes, especially when you end up with a real job after college. Most professions stick their nose down at tattoos that show. I personally think it won't hurt you as bad to get the tattoo if you have a friend there to talk to you during the process. It takes your mind off of the sounds of the needles and the stinging. Good luck!

I have one on the back of my neck. The only thing you need to consider is what kind of a job/career your going to have and how easily can you cover it up. That is the main problem with mine I have a job where I CANT have it show, I could be sent home for the day if someone can see it. Its a very tender spot but I don't think it hurt worse than my last one (lower back.) I think that would be a very cute tattoo, especially with the Script writing. If the job thing would be no issue I'd say go with that one definitely, if not wait til schools over/job thing, and just go with the piercing for now.

i think gemini on the back of your neck is the right idea but the wrong place. i wouldnt put something on the back of your neck like that because just think of how that will be in a bussiness like setting. how will you get a job? you know how crazy the world is with sterio typing people and judging people. if you want to work in a bussiness setting how do you think that would look with words on the back of your neck? if i was an employer hiring i would much rather to hire the person without the visible tattoos then with one..you see where i am going with this? i agree with the whole tattoo thing becuase i have many, you just have to make sure you pick the places. dont have it visible to others because you have to think of your future with walking around with that on the back of your neck sweetheart. put it on your ankle. i have one there its a sexy spot. i like your G in cursive looks nice also. just think of all the alternatives and things you might come across with a tat on the back of your neck..what is that saying to others?

if you are asking this question then i would hold off on a tattoo i would say you aren't sure if you should get it you have to be absolutly sure that you want one and pick a design you love and the pain it isn't so bad don't get me wrong it does hurt but after about 10 mins it isn't as bad the part next to the spine will be a little bit more painful then further way from it
ps also maybe get one of the temporary ones to get use to the idea of having it and see if you can cover it up for a job they last about a week or two

i got my lip pierced before my junior year and i thought i was the bomb when school started (lol). well, i ended up taking it out. it was too much of a hassle and everyone had it. ultimately, i would say facial piercings are a waste of money.

if you find a tattoo design that you love and it means something to you, i would get that. i just got my first tattoo two days ago.. I absolutely love it! tattoos are something that means something, not just some fashion statement.

Think really good about it because I know a lot of people that I know regret doing the tatoos they did when they were 18. I say piercing because it is not permanent and you will be able to see if you really wanted something like that in your body.

I agree with the others. Also, if you get a tattoo, especially a clearly visible one, you won't get accepted for some jobs, and for piercings, you could always remove them, and they'll just...go away...!
