This goes back to some philosophy I read once...
Assume that God does what is good. Is it good because God does it, or does God do it because it is good?
If the first, then anything at all could be deemed "good" simply because God does it.
If the latter - if God does things that are intrisically good - then goodness does not depend on God.

God cannot murder. God has absolute authority over life and death. Murder consists of a mere creature usurping a right that belongs to God alone, thereby in effect "playing God".

Considering that the act of murder is rampant in the Bible,he would be the biggest sinner ,an evil entity not worth of worship. God commands that people be killed for absurd reasons such as working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night. In addition to these crazy and immoral laws, there are plenty of examples of God's irrationality by his direct killing of many people for reasons that defy any rational explanation such as killing children who make fun of bald people, and the killing of a man who tried to keep the ark of God from falling during transport. There are also countless examples of mass murders commanded by God, including the murder of women, infants, and children.
How can we base our moral values in this type of GOD?
Sin is an invention of man.

No, only God can righteously give and take away. All life belongs to Him because He is the creator.
Job 1: 20. Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21. He said,
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Not unless He must follow His own rules.
If that is the case, then he is guilty of thousands of murders, conspiracies to commit murder and evasion of the law.
Best leave it "no", lest the religious folk prod.

No, God does not sin.
God gives life and He can take it away. His laws does not apply to Him. He is the Moral Law. His laws are here to protect us. : )

God doesn't murder. Murder is to kill someone in cold blood and without just cause. Capital punishment is not murder, particularly when God is doing it. In Biblical terms, these things are not murder:
1. God's judgement
2. War
3. Capital punishment
Some people may quote the Ten Commandments and find what they think is a discrepancy. In the original, it doesn't say, "Thou shalt not kill," it says not to murder. There is quite a difference. God kills, but He never murdered anyone.

God doesn't murder. Everything He does is the total perfection of righteousness. He gave life in the first place; it's His prerogative to end it as and when He chooses.
