You can't tell me I'm not Christian. Your vision of Christianity is nothing more that religious bigotry.

You have no respect for other and what they hold dear. -- Good luck

Yeah, ummm, once I heard that if you believe in Christ and you follow Him and God's commandments, and if you read the scriptures ( inculding the bible of course, since many think we don't read it) that makes you a Christian. Since we do all that.... Why can't mormons be considered Christians, is there a new criteria that sets us apart?

*Edit- OK look, Pretend I have a Bible in one hand, preferibly one that you use, now in my other hand I have our Book of Mormon, they are not the same!! We use the Bible and the Book of Mormon, never have we said the Book of Mormon is the Bible. Thats why on the cover it says it is ANOTHER testament of Jesus Christ, The Bible was the first now there is the Book of Mormon. Not to replace it but to use with it and if you really use both and study from both you'll learn a lot more, trust me.

Why are Mormons Christians? The definition of a Christian from the American Standard Dictionary:
Chris·tian (krschn) KEY
ADJECTIVE:
Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
Showing a loving concern for others; humane.
NOUN:
One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.

Mormons use the KJV of the Bible. It is not a movie, it is not missing any thing unless you compare it to the Catholic Bible. That is the only Bible that has the most books.

Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (as stated in the BIble) they believe he was Crusified for our sins, that he is our Redeemer. We follow the teachings as he gave in the new Testiment and also the 10 commandents in the old Testiment as he said (If ye love me keep my commandments).

We believe in God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost as in the Holy Bible.

We belieive in helping all of our fellow men, not just Mormons. We provide assistance to the needy worldwide. We provide job training and eduction all over the world. We provide assistance to every natural disaster relief with food, clothes, shelter and rebuilding. Including to other charities if they have already setup relief centers that would be redundent of our efforts.

So if this is not a Christian what definition of Christian are you using? Please provide your definition and the source for your definition. Also what version of the Bible do you use? Do you know when it came to be and who translated your version?

Why? Because we believe in, preach of and teach of Jesus Christ and His mission on earth. We love our Savior, He stands at the head of our church, He leads and guides us through a living prophet. We recognize Jesus Christ as the only way back to the presence of our Heavenly Father. He is our advocate, our Redeemer, the Savior of mankind.

That's basically why we feel that we are Christians...
Those who disagree may, that's their own choice. We know what we believe and God knows what we believe. The gospel is true, then what else matters?

We believe in Jesus Christ. Yeah... we have the Book of Mormon, but we also do study the Bible. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!!! Christian means that the religion believes in Christ.

Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I made a covenant at baptism to take upon myself His name. I renew this covenant each Sunday when I take the sacrament. That is why I consider myself a Christian.

I would love to hear what Jesus means to you, not what you assume He means to others.

Because our religion is basically the same as Christianity except with extra stuff we believe in and we don't necessarily call ourselves Christians, but we believe in the same basic principles.
